Energy crises is the most highlighted Hurdle in the outlook of progress to  any state or province . Being the 2nd Most populous Province of pakistan the need to meet the fullfilment of enerygy resources in Punjab is also priortized. 

Punjab is facing serious energy deficits since 1970's . The Electricity consumption falls 32% of the supply demand in early years and according to recent facts a major rise has been observed in this percentage leading a misforturne for the Punjab Progress . Blackouts in the industrialized sector has Depicted a majore fall to the economic progess of Punjab.

The Urban population represents 40.7%of the total crowd of pakistan. Highlighting the needs of production of Electric energy for Industrialized and Utility sector .

What is solar Scheme in Punjab 2024?

Punjab  " Roshan Gharana " Scheme is an initiative started by the Punjab Government in 2024, which aims to provide a Free Solar Panel to eligible Families who are consuming less than 200 Units per month.

How to check eligibility for solar panel Scheme ?

Intended people can check their eligibility for the scheme by sending the bill reference number and computerised ID card number to 8800.

Successful applicants would be informed through SMS after the PITB lottery draw. The district administration and DISCOs will verify the details of the successful applicants.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

users of 50 or less units will eligible for having a 500 watt solar pannel and users from 50 uptill 100 units will be granted  1kwatt Solar Pannel .

200-300 unit users will be eligible for having 1100 watt solar pannel

300 - 400 will be for 1650kwatt pannel and 500 units will be 2200 Kwatt pannel.

Another provision is that users should be registered in using 1 meter for Utility bills

Filers are eligible

People Recieveing aid through any governmental portal like benazir Incom support program are also not included in the list.

How to Apply ?

The registration process is simple. Interested households can send their identity card number and electricity bill reference number to 8800.

 Successful applicants will be selected through a draw and offered the opportunity to purchase solar systems through Bank of Punjab or National Bank.

 FINANCIAL DETAILS OF THE PROJECT :-

Launching this project is huge and bold step taken by The Cheif Minister Punjab MARIUM NAWAZ SHAREEF . The Government wil pay 90 % of the total amount of solar pannels and rest of the 10% will be paid by the recieving Side. 

Making it a more fesaible and rellable project of Government of punjab. The Main Purpose behind this project is to reduce the Energy Crises in the province by lowering the depressive burden of Electricity Bills . The payment plan of this project is based on a 5 year installment procedure with a lesser amount of intrest payement  making it more esaier for the people to grab this great opportunity.

 During Winter season this installment amount will face a noatible ease assuring the Convience provided by the Government of punjab.
